Telos thermal imaging monocular becomes the first Pulsar device to offer a technical hardware upgrade service in the European Union, Switzerland and Norway.
While exciting and, frankly, quite groundbreaking – we are the first in the market to introduce such a service – the innovation comes with many questions. Today, we tried to answer them all with Sergejus Kochanenko, the lead of the Upgradeability project.
Telos is our first device offering an Upgradeability service. From the development stage, we needed to make it upgradeable. For example, we had to ensure that certain connections are easy to change and do not take too much time. We had to make most of the parts available for upgrades.
Creating clarity of the entire process was fundamental because no one has ever done this before. Even in the global market for electronics, there are very few manufacturers willing to offer such a service. We are going on path international companies have not even put a single foot on.
We want this journey to be as smooth and straightforward as possible. There are a few simple steps the customer needs to take to apply for the Upgradeability service. First, you can do your homework by checking the information about the possible upgrade types on Pulsar website.
Whenever you decide it is time to upgrade your Telos, you should contact your local Pulsar dealer or distributor. They will provide you with a quote for the selected upgrade. If it satisfies you, simply hand your device to the dealer / distributor. They will send it to us, and Pulsar engineers will complete the upgrade. The upgraded Telos will be sent back to the dealer / distributor in your country, and they will return the monocular to you in the agreed period.
Our goal is to upgrade every device within 30 days from when it is handled to the dealer or distributor until it is returned to the user. There might be cases where it takes a little longer, but in general it should not ever last longer than a month. Of course, these terms are for the Europe because that is where we are launching first.
We thought about this, too. A detailed section dedicated to the most important questions regarding the Upgradeability process, recommended retail prices and the possibility to evaluate the changes each upgrade brings can be found on Pulsar website.
However, Pulsar distributors and dealers are fully equipped to assist you. They can also provide you with the necessary information and suggestions regarding the upgrade possibilities and the benefits it brings.
