For every animal you spot, ten spotted you and stayed hidden. Avilume, the new day, night, and thermal binoculars are engineered to change it. They find the animal’s warmth, then bring it into a detailed digital image, so you know exactly where to look and what you’re seeing.
Avilume gives you three image modes in a single device:
Thermal — lets you detect animals and birds day or night by reading heat signatures through foliage, weather, and darkness that would otherwise hide them.
Full-color — gives you the detail you need to identify what you’ve found: fur markings, plumage, coloring, and other field marks.
Night vision — keeps you seeing after the sun goes down. Switch on the built-in 850 nm infrared illuminator for extra reach, revealing detail even in full darkness.
Avilume comes in two versions, built for different kinds of fieldwork.
The XT50 Pro is the premium option: a 17.5° field of view, the widest in the line, paired with an HD 1280 × 1024, 12 µm thermal sensor. Together, they’re built for scanning larger landscapes — ideal when you’re searching a wide area for the next animal worth a closer look.
The XR50 trades that wider view for a more focused 8.8° field of view and a more sensitive 640 × 480 thermal sensor, with a NETD of <18 mK. That combination helps you pick out distant or hard-to-spot targets — a heron across a lake, a deer on a far hillside — without needing to close the distance and risk disturbing it.
Avilume also includes Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode, letting you combine the detection power of thermal with the clarity of full color or night vision at the same time. Your primary channel fills the main view, while your second channel appears as an inset — a small image in the upper part of the display — so you can track an animal and stay aware of the surrounding landscape at once.
Two more features round out the experience: electronic image stabilization keeps your view steady even at full zoom, and a redesigned interface makes the device intuitive to pick up and use in the field.
Avilume records what you see the moment you see it — photo and video, sound included — so a fleeting moment isn’t gone for good. Everything syncs to the free Wild Vision app, where you can review, download, and share your sightings straight from your phone.
Avilume is built to last in the field. The XT50 Pro runs up to 8 hours; the XR50 extends that up to 10 — enough for a full day of observation, from first light to well after dark.
An integrated laser rangefinder tells you exactly how far an animal is — up to 1,500 m. It’s the tool for when you want an accurate distance reading without moving closer and risking a disturbance.
With Avilume, thermal, full-color, and night vision all live in one pair of binoculars. No need to carry three separate devices — everything you need fits into a single, compact tool.
